Circuit #11 : Load Switch
This circuit is able to switch a 6V power source to a load with minimal voltage drop in the switching element.
When the digital output is high, the load switch is enabled and 6V is applied to the load. This circuit principle is generic and can be applied to different voltage and current ratings, though component selection will have to be re-evaluated. For 5V operation, Circuit #16 is a simpler solution.
